Title: determining the year of manufactoring from the serial number

Hello,

is there any way to retrieve the year (and the month) when the camera was manufactured, from the serial number  ?

Hello,

Normally the year of manufacture is in the first 4 numbers in a 2 digit format. The month is a bit harder to decipher, If you let me have the serial I can look it up for you.
