Hot/Stuck pixels
« on: April 18, 2016, 04:18:26 pm »
Hi all,

I have been noticing a certain red pixel in my Infinity is stuck or hot. I have noticed that it has been getting worse over time, for example in this http://www.astrobin.com/244993/ from the 13th, you can barely notice it in the top right, but this one from the other night is very noticeable http://www.astrobin.com/245486/.

While it doesn't ruin the image itself, I do find it annoying. Is there anything I can do to fix or minimize the problem?

Thanks,
JT

Dear JT,
You can remove this artefact by using the clone tool in  software like Photoshop , GIMP ( free download ) of Lightroom.
Do not worry too much these things happen and are visible with all sensors.
Cheers,
Dominique

Hi Dominique,

I have recently improved the hot pixel algorithm in the infinity software. We're not quite ready for release yet, but it would be useful for us if you got an early copy of the software. That way, we can be sure that it'll fix your issue. Please email me on ChrisG@atik-cameras.com and I'll send you a copy.

Chris.
