darks,bias,defect maps

ok, I have heard that darks are not really needed on the 314 mono, so what just bias frames? to be used in place of darks
and possibly some form of defect map?
what do you guys use?

Hi - I would just use Bias (and flat) frames.

You could use a defect map, but its easier to dither when you collect images - that way an extreme value rejection scheme will get rid of any hot pixels.
