Atik to Moonlite

I have a 68mm to atik thread adapter for my Moonlite focuser. In order to use this it would seem to me that I would need to remove the snout. Is this correct or is this adapter usable with the infinity?

If you remove the 1.25 inch adaptor (snout) you will be left with a standard T thread.
