The Trifid Nebula w/Atik Infinity color
« on: July 04, 2018, 12:50:45 am »
Haven't posted any images to this forum before but I wanted to share this one. Total exposure was 18 minutes in 15 second subs before the moon showed up early this morning! I had great success with the "Low" range histogram preset as opposed to using "Full" range and lots of manual tweaking. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I've been posting some of my images on Astrobin to show others how good Atik EAA cameras are! Thanks!

Sorry for using the wrong DSO name in my original post. Guess I should catch up on my sleep before posting after a long night at the scope!

Good work Craig,

What's the scope size / F ratio and what processing was used?

Thanks Eric and David!
Just signed in and saw your replies..

David, I have a Stellarvue .8x FF and reducer that gets my SV 105 down to an f5.6. For this image I recall doing minimal post-processing with the generic Windows 10 photo editing software. Thanks!

Thanks Craig

You should try Pixinsight for processing, its amazing (but a lot to learn).
