Is this right for the shutter?

Brand new 16200.  I emailed support but no answer yet.  I attached a photo of my shutter.  I'm guessing this isn't how it's supposed to work.  I tried a few hundred exposures and two software programs but no joy.  Is there anything else to do, other  than return it?
