Hi Joe,

Nice image!

What are the exposure details?
I plan to build a Newt or RC on my own too, was it a big deal?
Also got plans for a DIY GEM but that's future sound :)

Hi Lex,
I took pictures with 240 seconds in LRGB and try to combine with OIII and H-alpha. this was the
first picture. I had to center M27 in the upper part of the exposure due to sensor problem(see
ATIKcamera 3 and 4 forum).

Telescopebuilding: I have had a very good OrionUK 10"/f4.7 including the diagonal mirror and
changed the metall tube with a "Neumann"-tube. Painted inside with black "Schultafellack" to minimize reflections . thats all(ok, some problems with distances to focus with comacorrector)

I have also an ownbuild 12"/f5 Newton with a good mirror, but it is too large for my little observatory.

Best regards
Joe
