Recently, I've needed to make some new dark frames. I use SGP for imaging and it has always worked before. Now when I set it to take a bias or dark, it opens the camera shutter and I get an image of stars. I turned on logging in the driver and I believe these are the lines pertinent to the problem:
21:45:25.747 StartExposure Duration 10, Light False
21:45:25.747 StartExposure: bin 1,1: subframe 0,0:3354,2529: high priority False, amplifier switched-True, set dark mode TrueStartExposure, started
I've also attached the full log file. This is just a connect, take a bias frame of 10s, and then disconnect.
I am using the newest version of the software dated July 28 (same problem with next previous version as well) and the newest version of SGP. Camera is a 383L+ mono.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear you're having problems. I've been trying this myself this morning and haven't been able to recreate it. I released a new version of the core installer last week. Could you install that, making sure the ASCOM checkboxes are ticked. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I can send some debug code to help get to the bottom of it.
Chris.

I'm already using the version of the software from last week.

Hi Chris,
Sorry for the slow reply. I've been looking at this problem again this afternoon and think I've fixed the issue! Could you try the following version:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4zvnoy3uvmxd9kn/AABUiFmFFVHDiOs19k9xLU5Ea?dl=0
I'm uploading it to dropbox now. It should be there within 20mins or so. If you don't have a dropbox account, you can get one for free. If this is a problem, let me know and we can try and work something else out.
Let me know how it goes.

I'll try it this evening and let you know.
Thanks,

So far so good! The shutter stayed closed for 2 short dark frames as a test. I'll add some dark frames to run in the morning after tonight's imaging and make sure.
Thanks for the help,
Chris

Hi Chris,
That's great! I found that the problem only occurred with longer exposures (and that's how I missed it the first time). We actually time the exposures slightly differently if they are longer/shorter, and the longer exposures wasn't closing the shutter properly. The cut off is around 2.4 seconds.
Let me know if you have any more problems.
Chris.

I'll try some short bias frames later to make sure those work too.

I've done some dark frames and a few bias frames and all seems good now.
Thanks for the help,
