Guys
I'm the happy owner of Atik 383. Our observatory purchased it as used, at it has performed well for a week or so.
Today the pc lost the connection with the camera. Tried another pc - but with the same result.
Then I measurede the supply to the cooling and found out, that it had risen from 13,2 to 19 Volts!
Not good - I decided to look under the lid and found out, that the capacitor C65 had blown.
A measurement showed, that it was shorted - 0,7 Ohms.
It could be interesting to see the diagram - maybe the short of C65 saved the rest of the circuit -
or maybe the board needs to be replaced?
Atik recommends that the power supply should give at least 1,5 A - the bad supply is only 1 A -
and this is probably the explanation to the problem.
Any thoughts?

Correction: Recommended power supply is 12 V and 2,5 A

As you have discovered, using an underpowered / unregulated PSU is a very bad idea
