Title: ASCOM ATIK or ATIK 2?
Post by: billpellerin on July 03, 2013, 03:50:44 pm
Hi;

I have a 320E (monochrome) camera. Should I chose the 'ATIK Camera' or the 'ATIK Camera 2' setting in TheSky to enable communications with that camera?

Thanks.... Bill

The Atik1 and Atik2 simply allow you to have two cameras running under Ascom at the same time so to a degree it should not matter. When you pick one of them you will get the Ascom chooser to then assign which camera is actually going to be used with that Ascom 'slot'. Hope that makes some sense. Once setup it actally works very well under The Sky, I have had four cameras connected (two Atik and two Starlight Express) and been able to mix and match quite happily i.e. any one as imager and any one as guider.
