Title: 414EX mono/EFW2 setup with reducer on 8" RC Astrograph focal distance
Post by: RichardH on October 06, 2017, 04:38:48 pm
I have just upgraded my imaging setup I have been using for the past year from a Nikon D5200 to Atik 414EX mono w/ EFW2 and Astrodon filters. I also purchased a HighPoint 0.75x 2" reducer designed for the 8" f/8 RC 1600mm  astrograph that I want to use in the imaging train. The reducer will bring down to an f/6

I few things I hope someone can help guide me with.
1. I am somewhat confused as to where to place the reducer in the imaging train
2. What should the distance be from the reducer to camera sensor through the EFW2 wheel.
3. Correct placement of the configuration of hardware. Should it be assembled from OTA side as reducer, EFW2, camera? in that order?

Any help would be appreciated
Richard
