Title: Atik 460EX chip temperature.
Post by: mickhyde on March 20, 2013, 10:32:24 pm
Being new to this, what is the best set-point temperature for the chip?
I've been using -10C at the moment.

Cheers,
Mick.

Depends on ambient temperature. Set the camera temperature with a difference of no more than 25C from ambient. If ambient temperature is 25C, set camera temperature to no less than 0C.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Thought it had to be cooled to minus something or other.

Thanks.

Mick.

Hi,

Try to adapt temperature to the noise in the images.
The more noise the lower the temp delta.
