With the power mate 5x in the Pentax.. unguided imaging with single exposures (using the OSX ExampleApp to capture).
First up the Titan:

Now the 383L is usually a little too sensitive for planetary work but … with the 5x running at f31.9.. it's now possible to use the 383L with it's 5.45um pixels :)
Here is a cropped single exposure using OSX ExampleApp again:

Next image 383L full frame single exposure, I've had to JPEG this to fit into the 600KB limit.. but it's really to show the scale and that you can see the moons!

Very interesting Nick, nice images. I would not have thought of trying planetary images with the 383, but now I'm intrigued.
How did you connect the 383 to the powermate?

The 5x power mate is a 1.25" push fit, I used a standard 1.25" to t-thread adaptor and volia!
I may be tempted to try it with the filter wheel connected next time!
