Title: My first Bubble Nebula in Hubble Palette with Atik 460EX
Post by: topboxman on October 08, 2012, 09:33:56 pm
I am not sure if I process Bubble Nebula in Hubble palette correctly. It does not look like any other Bubble Nebula images. I've tried mapping to RGB in many different ways and this is the best I can get. I still prefer natural LRGB colors but I live in high light pollution area and taking Luminance as well as RGB is very challenging.

Look for individual NB images there as well. Sii is very weak despite 30 minutes sub exposures. Oiii is also weak compared to Ha. I took one 15 minute sub with Sii and 30 minute sub is not much better than 15 minute sub. In fact I think I am seeing LP gradients in 30 minute subs of Sii.

Astrodon Oiii 5nm filter: 31 x 15 minutes, 1x1, Not so good seeing condition. 9/7/2012

Thanks for looking. Comments, tips and critics always welcome.

I do prefer #1 in the gallery... but that is just a personal preference.

They are all quite nice.

Thanks. I am not exactly fond of colors from Hubble Palette and prefer natural color from RGB but I live in high light pollution area and NB helps filter out not only LP but moon light as well.
