M31, M32, M110 - first light with ATIK420m
« on: October 17, 2012, 12:54:39 pm »
Hello everyone, here is my first light from my new pleasure called ATIK 420m :) After 3 years with non-cooled DSLR its amazing to see, what data this camera with low readout noise produce. It was calibrated only with Bias and Flat frames, no Darks or Bad pixel map was used. 1:1 resolution on image click.

here is color version ... i used RGB data from DSLR camera captured last year. big thanks to ATIK for this great piece of hardware ;)

A good 1st start!  There is really a whole lot of additional detail that could be pulled out of this image, i.e.: dust lanes, star clusters, etc.

Hi;

really nice first CCD Pic; try to implement HDR Wavelets to lift out the dust lane and core details!

Well done
