NGC7000 - Atik 383L mono
« on: July 21, 2013, 06:59:23 pm »
Hi All,

I figured I also owed the forum my first RGB after a couple of Ha only pics that I didn't post. Setup took a while as clouds had been with us for ever and I had an equipment change too.

This was 9X4 mins Ha as red channel, 8x4 mins green and 8x4 mins blue.

Very nice result particularly for the short amount of time spent.

Hi, May I know what filter wheel and the filter size you are using on your ED80 Triplet? DO you have any vignatting at the corners. At what focal ratio was the image taken?

Hi Hamish,

I use 2 inch Baader filters on the Atik EFW2 and the vignetting will take a better eye than mine to assess. To be honest though that is the very reason I went full 2 inch filters to avoid that problem as much as possible.

It was at F6.
