I want to use my Antares 6.3 reducer with my ATIK 383l Mono CCD on my Meade 8" SCT. I removed my Williams Optic crayford to reduce the load. So my image train is as follows: (1) 8" SCT; (2) 6.3 Antares focal reducer direct to the SCT thread (no visual back); (3) SX filter wheel w 36mm filters; (4) ATIK 383l.
I am getting what looks like an image of my mirror and the secondary in my light frames. Could you tell me what the optimal distance should be. Do I need an extension. The Antares focal reducer has a f/l of 220mm.
Many thanks in advance

The spacing from the back of the FR to the CCD should be 105mm.
My setup is:
Item | Length (mm) |
383L+ | 17 |
Quantum filter wheel | 23 |
15mm spacer | 15 |
Celestron OAG | 50 |
