Title: ATIK 414 Darks on Maxim DL5
Post by: phxbird@hotmail.com on September 02, 2020, 05:03:38 AM
I have not been able to get Maxim DL5 to successfully subtract darks. The flats and bias work fine but when you add darks, most of the image just disappears. If you play with the stretching you can get about 50% of the image back. I have been using CCDCommander as the camera control to even get darks at all. Maxim DL5 won't let me shoot darks. The box in the imaging controls doesn't allow you to click on it. Anyone else had this problem? My guess is a problem with the driver, but who knows.

ATIK advertising says you don't need darks but I am doing photometry and you need darks!

Someone will probably respond with "you need to update to Maxim 6." Unfortunately, that is not an option at this time.

Hello! If you use sequences to make Darks make sure you have Darkness set;)
