Title: black column from atik 460ex

Hi
When I use main sequence pro to photograph I always get first column blck (0).
If I use MaimDL I get last column black. (but organized the same as MSG).
So the camera isnt faulty since its different columns that are black.
Any idea how I get rid of this phenomena?

Hi Pelle,

I remember you from Cloudy Nights forum. Have you tried other capture software like Nebulosity? I don't have your issues with Nebulosity. You can try Nebulosity for free. You can test it indoors. The free trial of Nebulosity will purposely draw diagonal lines across the image. If you pay for it and input the license number, the diagonal lines will disappear. But your purpose is to test for the black column and diagonal lines will not be in the way.

If you still get black column with Nebulosity, then you should contact Atik.

Hi Peter

Yes I have tried other programs and MaximDL for instance gives blacks in last column,not first.
So theres nothin wrong with the camera, I just thought other 460 owners could have had the same problem (and know what to do about it)

maxim tend to invert and flip the images, hope that give some sense.
