Title: CUI Switch Mode Power Supply

I had bought a used Atik 314-l OSC ccd camera and it came only with the AC Power supply rated at output 12V 1.0Amp. The problem I have with it is the power cord is to short for me. It would be fine if I were running my ccd camera in the back of the telescope like most do,But mine is hooked to the front of the scope in a hyper star configuration and its up High, much higher than the normal routine of hooking up a ccd camera to your backplate and focuser.
  Is there an ac adapter that is 4 to 5 feet longer in length, or can I solder additional wire same gauge 22 AWG 300Volt and just solder in additional length.?
