Title: Is it possible to rename the EFW2 filters in ArtemisCapture?
Post by: Tony on September 22, 2015, 03:36:00 pm
Hi,

(I posted earlier on the use of CCDSoft plugins but I've got to like Artemis Capture).

Is there a way of changing the EFW2 filter labels so that whatever I load into the FW slots can be auto annotated in the frames' FIT header?

So I can have "V", "B", etc instead of "Filter 2", etc.

Any help appreciated.

Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,

Unfortunately I don't think you can rename the filters in Capture. I know it's not the same thing, but would using the file suffix in the sequencer to record the filter help at all?

And, to (try to) answer your other query if you were looking to use CCDSoft again, the EFW2 should work with CCDSoft through an ASCOM driver, though you might need an ASCOM filterwheel plug-in for CCDSoft itself - http://forums.atik-cameras.com/index.php?topic=382.0 (http://forums.atik-cameras.com/index.php?topic=382.0) I know this post is old but I hope it still works. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of CCDSoft here to try, so let me know how you get on if you decide to give it a go!
