Title: 414ex color won't connect to ANY software on Laptop PC Win8.

Hi and thank you for reading this

I have a Laptop with win 8, Latest Ascom, Latest Atik software and drivers (Uninstalled and installed several times) it's being detected in Device manager (under Universal Serial bus controllers) it shows Atik 414ex and it says it's working properly and yet it won't connect to ANY program in my Laptop The Sky X, Sequence Generator Pro or Artemis.

By the way the camera is plugged in and powered.... :-]

Thoughts?

In addition  I disconnected EVERY usb device from the laptop and connected the powered camera on all USB ports to no avail. It is worth noting perhaps that every time I connect AND power the camera the Device manager UNDER serial bus controller shows Atik414ex as working and active. It's not reflected anywhere else on the device manager such as imaging devices etc. ONLY in serial bus controller ... I'm trying the Raspberry Pi way now in an act of desperation! LOL!

Hi Pablo,

Sorry to see you're having problems. One quick question: In device manager, if you right click the camera and select 'properties' what does it say next to manufacturer?

Hi Pablo,

Looks like those settings are correct. Can you check in task manager -> services to see if the 'Status' of 'ArtemisHSCService' and 'ArtemisHSCServiceMonitor' are both 'Running' (it might say 'Started' on Windows 8 )
