Title: NGC 588 ZHII TRIANGULUM
Post by: elpajare on October 29, 2016, 11:02:56 am
Observation note: Small area of HII in full spiral arm of M 33.
3-star grouped with a slight reddish hue of HII are perceived.
One of the stars is blue.

Ob. Note of Steve Gottlieb from NGC Project:

17.5": extremely faint nebulosity in M33, requires averted vision to view.
Located 14' W of the center of M33 and forms the western vertex of a very obtuse
isosceles triangle with N592 6' E and N595.  Nearly collinear with N592 and the
core of M33. This is a HII region and star cluster.

Picture taken at 12" expo. x 25 times = 300 seconds.

PS: Sorry, the marked object is NGC 595, no NGC 588.

Great shot elpajare, and it's really nice to be focused on the smaller details in what we're seeing.
