Title: M31 - A start

Here is my start on M31. This is only 8x600s taken with the 383+L and my Tak FSQ. Hopefully I plan to sped more time on this object if the weather cooperates on my schedule! 8)

there is some nice details captured in your image. The core is a bit hot but could be dealt with in processing or masking  with different exposures.

What filter did you use? When I first tried M31 I could not get that much detail with 600s. I used Ha filter to cut light pollution.

Thanks for the look guys. @Robert, I just used the regular Lum filter.. I plan on going back to get some more time with
shorter exposures, RGB & Ha. Ya, i know the core is hot, I have to learn how to do masking in PS so I can keep it under
control.

Looks like you are having a great start!!!

I also live in high LP area and using Ha filter is a great way to filter out LP.
