Title: NGC 7380 with Infinity
Post by: OhNo on October 12, 2018, 11:42:14 pm
Mother Nature has been a bit cruel since my New-to-me Atik Infinity arrived. The attached pic is from my second night out with it.

Camara: Atik Infinity
Scope: C8 SCT
Mount: CGEM
Reducer: Antares .50

Capture: 16x 10 seconds
Post process: RegiStax 6 (for color balance and histogram) Photoshop for lightening.

Conditions: Average seeing (3/5), Transparency (Below Average), -5C with 80-90 RH, Bortle 2 Sky site

I need more time to tinker with the Infinity capture program, but I am liking the experience.

I will try a IR Cut filter if the clouds ever go away.

Another option is to use the camera binning (2x2) to eliminate the software color, and add my color using RGB filters with the IR cut filter.

Thoughts?
