Title: "I've seen the Needle...."
Post by: CraigG on May 09, 2019, 01:13:56 pm
Channeling a little Neil Young this morning and posting an image of NGC 4565, The Needle Galaxy. Horizon OSC, 60X15sec light subs (15 minutes), 1X1 binning, stacked in Infinity. Imaging scope is a Stellarvue SV70T. No dark or flat frames with some post-processing in Nebulosity.

Impressive, Craig. How much post processing did you actually do by the way?

Thanks so much Sanning! I just use a simple routine in Nebulosity and only when I think its needed...stretching most of all and star tightening. I've recently had good success with some of the presets available in the Curves function for stretching. Trying to stay as close to the spirit of EAA as I can by using minimal post-processing!
