Title: Atik 460EX cooling issue
Post by: astrodoc on September 19, 2020, 09:51:03 pm
Having issues now with camera cooling. Last session I set to -10 and it never reached -10. After getting to around -7 or 8 at 100% power it stopped cooling. After disconnecting and reconnecting a couple of times I finally got it to reach -10 at about 96% power. This is a new problem I never had before. Camera is about a couple years old.
Thanks
Dave

Hello Dave,

Sorry to hear you are having problems, what was your ambient temperature? Have you emailed Atik support with this issue?

Best regards
Vince

The 460EX cools to -25C below ambient. So you will only get to -10C if ambient is 15C as Vince implies. Since this is a very low noise chip, you won't see the difference between -10C and -7C (or even 0C).
