While waiting for some better weather here in Michigan, I've been going through some of my past data and reprocessing it in StarTools. I think the improvements are well worth the effort!
90x30 sec subs through a Baader Ha filter in front of a Horizon mono camera gazing through a Stellarvue SV70T. Image (a JPEG only) reduced from 1.5 meg.

Excellent base for making colors!

That's what I was thinking! So, I did a LRGB synthesis run in Nebulosity combining the above mono image with a 15 minute RGB stack taken this week with my Horizon OSC. It really brought out the fringe nebulosity when compared to the RGB alone. Had to be careful not to emphasize the mono channel too much as it would blow out the Trapazium core.

Hi Craig,
Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year so far! That looks great :)

Hey Vince!
It's looking a bit more promising over here to start the year although we're watching with concern over your latest lockdown. We either watch or listen to BBC America just about everyday for updates. Take good care of yourself...maybe hunker down out of harm's way in the observatory more often?

Hi Craig,
Most of us are working from home for the time being, hopefully later this year the worst will be behind us!
We seem to have stormy weather too at the moment so not a lot of imaging going on sadly!
Vince :)
