Title: Astronomical Spectroscopy
Post by: Merlin66 on January 06, 2012, 03:36:19 PM
The ATiK 314L+ is quickly becoming the "weapon of choice" for amateur spectroscopists.
Certainly does a great job.
I also use the ATiK16ic-S as an electronic finder (Using a 135mm telelens) and still have the ATiK61ic as a guide camera.
With a bit of fanct footwork is is possible to get AstroArt to recognise them as separate cameras, so operating two ATiK cameras at the same time.

The observatory has just been relocated to Australia.
First light with the Spectra-L200/ 600l/mm and the ATiK314L.

The Sirius spectrum was taken with a 30 yo Genesis...shows the Balmer lines below 400nm.
Onwards and upwards.
