I'm also currently setting up the required environment for building and testing OS X 10.6 32bit.

The core is fine - it's C++, however the edges have a few changes required to make the example app backward compatible.

Hello,

Where can I download the OS X driver to use the Atik camera on my Mac Book Pro?

Clear skies,

Arthur.

Hi Arthur,
Nice to hear your interest in using ATIK on OSX!

All capture applications need to be developed to use drivers - either directly or using a layer such as ASCOM that allows ASCOM drivers to simply "work" with any ASCOM capture application. Unfortunately the Mac does not have an ASCOM layer - I have been working with other mac developers (such as David Hulse , author of EQMac) to create AOSX however this work and personal things (getting married etc) have all slowed the progress.

Although I don't work for ATIK, I have worked in my own time, to make an OSX driver for capture applications on OSX to use. I have also been talking with capture application developers about adding the support to their capture application - progress on this is good with the likes of Craig Stark (Nebulosity and PHD) ready and working with me.

Obviously I can't comment on ATIK in this area; but I have a large scale testing for the B3 release planned shortly (testing Titan, 383L, 4000, 11000 etc all on the back of my Pentax!) - this will then be released to Craig and the capture application developers to freely use.

As an astronomer too - I also want to be able to use my ATIK hardware on a Mac!
