Calibration time in Capture
« on: March 11, 2014, 11:58:28 AM »
I'm trying a very short focal length guide-scope and keep getting Calibration failed messages so have been increasing the calibration time but to no effect.
The mount is definitely moving and reporting back the changes to CdC.

My question is - how high can this calibration time number go? My last attempt was 24000 which of course makes calibration very slow. PHD on the other hand calibrates much faster but invariably crashes when I'm using a Titan and a 314 together.

Reckon I can answer this myself now.

The calibration time has a max value of 10000. Although I was setting it higher it was being automatically reset to 10000.

To solve the small movement problem I raised the RA and Dec rates in EQMOD to 0.9
