Good morning all,
Here is the FIT header of the last image in a series of 19 images (Atik Horizon color camera) saved and stacked last night with Infinity:
SIMPLE = T
BITPIX = 16
NAXIS = 2
NAXIS1 = 4644
NAXIS2 = 3506
BSCALE = 1
BZERO = 32768
XPIXSZ = 3,79999995231628
YPIXSZ = 3,79999995231628
XBINNING= 1
YBINNING= 1
EXPTIME = 120
ISCOLOUR= T
DATE-OBS= '2020-07-27T01:06:31.968'
BAYOFFX = 1
BAYOFFY = 0
GAIN = 6
OFFSET = 27
END
and here is the fit header of the stacked image:
SIMPLE = T
BITPIX = 16
NAXIS = 2
NAXIS1 = 4644
NAXIS2 = 3506
BSCALE = 1
BZERO = 32768
XPIXSZ = 3,79999995231628
YPIXSZ = 3,79999995231628
XBINNING= 1
YBINNING= 1
EXPTIME = 120
ISCOLOUR= T
DATE-OBS= '2020-07-27T01:06:31.968'
BAYOFFX = 1
BAYOFFY = 0
GAIN = 6
OFFSET = 27
END
These two headers are strictly identical, however:
with Fitswork the image of the series is correctly debayered by the filter G R / B G, while the image resulting from the stacking is correctly debayered by the filter R G / G B.
Can we trust the BAYOFFX, BAYOFFY indications? What do they mean?
