LPS Filter for 314L+ OSC ccd
« on: April 10, 2014, 04:21:17 AM »
Hi:

I have a color 314L+,  with a 120mm (4.8in) refractor...medium light pollution..was wondering what LPS filter others might be using?  I assume a 1.25in filter threads onto this 1.25 nosepiece of the camera?

also, this camera does not have IR filtering, yes?

Hi,
No the cameras don't have IR/UV filtering natively.

On the Titan, I'll use a 1.25" nosepiece and attach both a Baader Neodymium and UV/IR cut. The Neodymium has UV/IR blocking but I use two to be safer with solar.

On the 383L, EFW2 with 2" filters I use a 2" nose with the 2" version of the UV/IR. The FW has the 2" neodymium filter as part of the set.
