Help with EFW1 in Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi,
I have just been given an ancient Atik EFW1 (5 position USB) and tried to install it on a Windows 7 PC but with no luck.

When powered up, the EFW carousel rotates but other than that, nothing

I've been to the downloads page (https://www.atik-cameras.com/downloads/) downloaded the EFW1 Filter Wheel Drivers and ran the enclosed program - which seems to run fine but 'cannot connect to Filter Wheel).

I've also downloaded the USB1/USB2 drivers - but there are no instructions on how to install them (and the file doesn't seem to include an executable).

ASCOM profile explorer seems to think there is an Atik EFW and both the Atik programme and ASCOM allow me to label the filter positions.

What can I do to get this running - I  know it's an ancient device but it looks like others seem to have gotten it running.
