Hi Atik staff,
I was wondering if there are any plans to release a new Atik One using the Panasonic chip?
Well, I'd be interested

Hello,
Its a nice idea. I think a slight increase to the size of the case would be needed. Also we might want to consider 36mm filters. If we loose too much back focus in order to get the filters close we run the risk of condensation of the optical window and increased reflections from the surface of the sensor.
We will be looking into this
cheers

Hi Steve,
it's nice to hear that you take it into consideration. In my case, I would attach it onto my Epsilon-130D. So, it should work at f/3.3 without vignetting.
cheers

Hi Steve,
I don't know what other cameras / chip combination you have in pipeline, but maybe the IMX183 would be a better match to the ATIK One housing.
Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Steve,
do you have some news for us you're allowed to share?
Something that prevents me buying an ASI?
Perhaps: I can't tell you something specific but if you can wait a few more month, just do so?
Kind regards
Peter

Hi Steve,
since my inquiry it became a bit quite here. Perhaps the Sony IMX304 might be an alternative to the Panasonic chip.

Hi Peter,
We do have a number of new products in the pipeline, some cmos based some CCD, it should be an exciting end to the year/beginning to 2019. Sorry I can reveal details yet.
Cheers
