ATIK-490ex simultaneous exposures

I emailed ATIK support a couple days ago, but I figured I'd post here in case anyone else can help while I wait for a response.

I have two ATIK-490ex cameras connected via USB to my laptop (Windows 10). I'm controlling them with a Python script using ASCOM via win32com. I have one camera using the "ASCOM.Atik.Camera" driver and the other "ASCOM.Atik2.Camera" driver.

Is it possible to command both cameras to expose/download at the same time? When I command the first camera to start an exposure, the second camera's state changes to "Camera Exposing" and "Camera Downloading" along with the first camera's state. Therefore commanding the second camera to expose once the first has started will always fail.

Could there an error with the way I am connecting to the cameras, or is this a driver limitation?

Additionally, I saw a "ASCOM driver help file" referenced on the forums elsewhere, but I've been unable to find it, can anyone tell me where that is?
