Atik OAG 360deg Rotator and Filter adapter...

Just finished making this 360 degree rotator, so I can get my 314L+ camera aligned on the OAG which was not possible just using the adapters (and although possible with adding shims, still tricky).

Optical length is c. 6mm.

It also mounts a 31mm Astronomik ProPlanet 642 BP IR filter, which has a plain 3mm deep mounting ring. Most of the filter is not used of course, but there doesn't seem to be a cheeper small one of say 12.7mm.

Waiting on taper-face M3 grub-screws to arrive, hopefully by the weekend.

Hi Vince,

Yes I am making these parts myself.

The rotator was about a day to make all in all, although some of that was "on the fly" design thinking and checking dimesions for filters, plus ordering the filter (from 365) and the screws (from Accu). I could probaby make a second one in about four hours.

I don't (yet?) have the facility for anodising, something I am looking into.

The lack of specific parts to buy has encouraged me to make my own. The tricky part is the 0.75mm pitch threading, but I am getting better at that now
