Camera always powered on?

Hi All,

My Atik 460ex is only cooled when I'm imaging. But at present the camera is powered on 24/7 (semi-robotic observatory, I don't currently have a method for turning off the power remotely/autonomously). I'm interested in views on whether this is OK or problematic. Am considering a solution such as the Pegasus Ultimate Powerbox which allows scheduled power up/down of cameras - but  at £500 it's a bit of an outlay if I'm worrying about nothing.
