Auto guiding help
« on: September 15, 2013, 10:09:00 PM »
Hello, i am new to CCD imaging and after a little bit of advice. I have a 314l+ mono camera and a Meade LX200 classic telescope.

Can I use my camera to image something and also use it to autoguide at the same time, or do i need to use one camera to image and another to guide?

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve, you will need a separate camera to guide with. With this camera you can do either but not both.

Steve,

I have used an Orion Star Shoot Auto Guider with both my Atik 383 and Canon 30D with great success.  The guide scope is a AT66 and I image with either a TV85 or a TEC 6.
