I've just acquired a 314e and have a simple question. I've not used it in anger yet - only arrived yesterday and it's been cloudy (surprise!).
What's the easiest way to tell how well the cooler is working? I've got it enabled in various software (ArtemisCapture, Nebulosity, APT) and they report it's on but give -273C actual temperature - perhaps a bit optimistically! Is the actual current CCD temp not reported back by this camera? (I realise it doesn't do set-point). If not, how do I see whether it's reaching the -25C from ambient it's supposed to be capable of?
The fan is blowing quite warm air out of the back after a minute or two - that's a good sign the cooling is working, right?
I'm only concerned about this because my previous camera (a Lyuba L429) ended up with cooling that didn't work, so I'm keen to verify this one is
