Bad Atik 11000M?

Hi Forum,

Looking for some help.

I ordered a new ATIK 11000 a little while ago, and finally finished my new imaging setup to try it out.  Unfortunately I've run up against a wall.

All images, no matter what exposure length (tried from .01s - 10s) or binning (1x1 - 4x4) seem to expose with a heavy saturation at one edge.   This image is a 0.1s second exposure at 1x1 pointing at polaris:

Focus has absolutely no effect on the saturation pattern.   I can see some stars, and am pretty certain it is close to focused. I've tried with the chip cooler on and off, waited up to 10 minutes for it to cool, but it's always extremely noisey and "blown out"  like this.   The effect seems less so at 2x2 binning, but still there nonetheless.

Any ideas?  Do I have a defective camera? :(

looks strange. The gradient is normal on KAI-11002 and with colder temperatures it becomes less apparent. But your case is somewhat different. Looks like either there's something "hot" or straylight somewhere in your imaging train...

to test if camera is OK you shall take couple of bias frames and couple of flat field frames, all at bin 1x1 and all cooled down as much as it gets and then analyse the bias frames. This guy can help you:

I'd contact support- send in an image.

Is the auto-stretch on?
