Atik One 9 problem
« on: November 29, 2014, 12:21:21 pm »
Hi all,

My friend just bought a Atik One  9.0 . He is new to CCD and has following questions :

1) Why there are two power ports at the base on the main CCD body ?

2) Why The guider head has no RJ12 plug for the ST4 compatible guiding cable to the mount? How to do the auto-guiding with the camera.

Thanks in advance

Best regards

1) one is DC IN (input) and one shall be DC OUT (output) to support power to some other device. I am not sure if they are interchangeable...

2) the guider is expected to be connected via the other USB port (mini Hub) to the Atik One body and guiding works via PC->Mount connection so you need to connect your PC to your mount via e.g. USB->RS232(serial) adapter or any other cable/means... e.g. I have never needed ST-4 port in my life ;-) I am always using the "pulseguiding" way...

3) you can find the answers in the user's manual
