ATIK OAG 2" adapter

Just checking before I use too much pressure - The 2" "snout" that goes into the 2" focuser shows that it is removable in the mechanical drawing. Mine does not want to come off with medium pressure  and it must come off to adapt to my Takahashi scope.

Am I correct and does it screw off?
