Dawn and debaying

trying out my new 428EX. If I use artemis capture and then load the fits into dawn, debaying works fine, the results look good. If I use Maxim dl via ascom, the 428ex works fine, but when I feed the fits into Dawn and try to debayer, it reports, bayer offset not known.

Any ideas to get around this.
