Problems with Atik16IC
« on: April 01, 2013, 06:49:56 am »
Hi Gang,

I fired up my camera yesterday but It doesn't work. It fails to connect to the Artemis capture software.

I'm using the supplied 12v power lead connected too, a large leisure battery and.  I get the following message.

No Available Camera. I have installed the software from the Atik CCD On both my Windows 7 machine which I used the last time, and a newly upgraded IBM T23 running XP. And I have the same error message on both machines.

I changed the USB cable to see whether that was the problem. It wasn't.

The fan is working but nothing else is.
I last used my camera in January 2012 and it was working OK. The camera has been stored in a camera bag, in my bed room.

I have a mains adaptor for the camera. Should I try that? Or is the fault more serious?

I suspect I have power to the fan but nothing else. Can some body on here please help?
Paul.

What do you see on the devices and printers screen? Have you looked at the Device Manager?

I cleaned the USB terminal this afternoon. And now the camera works OK on Windows XP.

It must have been a dirty contact.
