Grid pattern in photos?
« on: October 05, 2013, 04:08:14 AM »
Im using the Atik 420 color camera. Was taking some flats the other day. Set at .25 sec foe each exp and the image that came out was a grid pattern. Any one have this problem? Any ideas?

Can you attach an image example?

Steve,

Did you debayer the images?  I am assuming that this is a OCS camera.

Joseph I think I found the problem. I use DSS to stack the images and the wrong camera was chosen in there. I did not see a choice for Atik cameras at all. Lots o generic choices. How do I determine what the correct bayer settings are for my Atik 420 color OSC camera?

Thanks

Steve,

I use ImagesPlus for processing and the all the Atik cameras are supported.  In other forums I have read that in order to use DSS you need the bayer pattern and offset. A search found the pattern BGGR for the matrix and then you have to experiment with the offset (0,0 0,1 1,0 1,1)

Good luck
