Supernova in M95
« on: April 01, 2012, 03:25:19 PM »
Imaged this on 28 Mar with a 383L+ mono and C8 with 6.3 reducer. Even I managed to spot that incredibly bright supernova.

Sn2012aw is really bright, around 13 mag. I managed to take a photo with a 150 mm Newtonian:

17x60 seconds with Atik 383L.

Edit. For comparision, here is an Lrgb-photo of M96 and M95:

150 mm Newton + Atik 383L 1 hour 10 minutes.
Photo taken on March 3 - no sign of supernova.

I take this image last night. Looks like the brightness is stable.

A big Moon was too close but still have some contrast to the galaxies.

This is kind of late but here is a shot of M95 and sn 2012aw that I took with my Atik 383L+OSC and a AT8RC.
