383L+ electrical tingling when I touch the case

Not sure if this is normal....

I have my 383l+ in an observatory. Powered by a 12v regulated PSU and plugged into a desktop PC usb port.

When I touch the camera I feel a slight tingling/buzzing 50hz sort of buzzing in my fingers. Is this normal? Its coming through the USB cable because I still feel it if I unplug the 12v cable. Camera is working perfectly otherwise.

Hi Derek,

The good news is it doesn't sound like a problem with the camera - it sounds likely to be a wiring problem somewhere. It might be a problem with your computer's power supply, most likely with the earthing.

Yes I tracked it down to a bad connection in an earth wire on the wall socket in the observatory!!!
