M27 - Atik 460EX
« on: June 14, 2012, 03:26:24 PM »
The sky conditions were not good so I thought I would image
the old favourite M27.

The guiding went a bit silly , possibly due to high cloud , which knocked the guide
cam out a couple of times. Hence the strange star shapes.
Only time for:-

8" RC at F5.6
Ha 5 X 5 mins , OIII 5 X 5 mins , Synthesised Green Channel.

Hi,  Awesome given the conditions and relatively short total exposure time.  :D

Hi John,

I am interested in the 460EX mono camera so I will certainly be following your posts here !

I currently own a modified Canon 450D and an Atik 16HR. The Atik is an awesome camera with a great sensor. I do have some issues with dew forming on the glass window in front of the sensor, which makes working with this camera somewhat troublesome.

A very nice result on M27.
