383 mono hot pixels
«

I bought atik 383 mono and it has a lot of hit pixels. We shot 5min darks at -5C, with 1m usb cable. Can you give us advice on what might be wrong? We want to do photometry and we were wondering how hot pixels affect photometry?
Thx

Hello Alan
Good Morning
I am using Atik383L+ mono since 3 years. I see the good hot pixel map in mine too. As far as Astrometry/photometry is concern, better to calibrate images first.
A hot pixel may change the star magnitude if present near by to source. I want to see your dark frame. mail me @ agnihotri80.vk@gmail.com, if possible.
